Welcome to the home-page of the Online Parish Clerk for St.Issey. My name
is Tim Johnson. I am not the "Parish Clerk". Click this link to visit the
official site for the Parish Council
This site was started in March 2009 and is based upon a searchable database that in the
fullness of time will contain all St Issey - Baptism, Marriage, Burial & Census records for the
years 1596 - 1911 and beyond. There are currently 12,000+ individuals listed here.
From the underlying database
it is possible to view family trees in graphical format.
Click Here to see what can be shown when the underlying BMD records are linked together.

The easiest way to start - is to search for names
by using the input boxes at the top right of the page. Both of these boxes allow you to enter a partial name.
For instance Roseveare is spelt in many ways in the registers - so - simply search for "ros".
Also visit other areas detailed in the menu on the left of this page.
I would encourage you to view the
Tutorial that I have recently created as it will help you
get the most out of the facilities available here.
I hold films of all St Issey Registers from 1596 - 1990 and can perform any required lookup.
If you have any questions or comments or would like to share your research with me, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
If you want to gain free access to all of the data that this site holds you will need to

Marriages 1597-1911 and Baptisms 1596-1914 have been transcribed and added to the database.
Burials 1602-1992 have been transcribed and are now located under
Reports.
School Admissions 1880-1920 are located under
Transcriptions.
Census returns from 1851-1911 for St Issey are included in the database records for individuals.
I am currently transcribing Land Tax returns from 1799 for various Parishes.
